Yusuf Thullah
is the founder of Trace Thullah, a non-profit organisation dedicated to elevating and advancing the fashion industry in The Gambia.
A former entertainer and leading Gambian model, Yusuf began his journey on the runway, quickly becoming a recognised face within the industry. After retiring from modelling in 2016, he channelled his experience and passion into building platforms that celebrate creativity, talent, and excellence across the fashion ecosystem.
Through Trace Thullah, he founded the prestigious Gambia Fashion Awards, an annual event that honours designers, models, make-up artists, accessory designers, hair stylists, photographers, fashion brands, and public figures who champion Gambian fashion. He has also introduced the Fashion Business Masterclass to empower creatives with the knowledge needed to grow sustainable brands.
Driven by a clear vision to recognise and celebrate those shaping the future of Gambian style, Yusuf is committed to creating spaces where fashion professionals are valued, acknowledged, and inspired.
With a deep dedication to nurturing the next generation and strengthening the national fashion ecosystem, he continues to lead Trace Thullah with purpose, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to the growth of Gambian fashion — alongside Team Trace Thullah and key industry stakeholders.
